US Dept of Transport: electric cars to make warning noise when travelling at low speeds

The US national road safety organisation has demanded that electric cars make a warning noise when traveling at low speeds.

The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it will help to prevent 2,400 pedestrian injuries each year.
