UN: Aleppo fighting displaces 16,000 civilians

The United Nations says 16,000 people have fled Aleppo as the Syrian
government continues to make gains in the rebel-held parts of the
city.

With no hospitals, and food supplies all but exhausted, the UN expects
many more to escape over the coming days.
