Phillipines President cancels purchase of 26,000 US firearms

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte said he has cancelled an order of weapons from the United States, after the planned sale of 26,000 assault rifles sale was stopped by the top US Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee. That move came amid reports from human rights organizations citing several thousand extra-judicial killings since the start of Duterte's "war on drugs".
