The Ethiopian government is holding 20 foreign aircraft and their crew members for investigation after they flew into the South Western region of the country without permission.
The members of the fleet were participating in a vintage air race across Africa that begun on 12th November in Greece.
The Vintage Air Rally organisers say they believe the planes had permission to land in the The Gambella region of Ethiopia having flown from Sudan.
