Yahoo Calls Reports of Scanning Users' Emails "Misleading"

Yahoo is downplaying allegations that it scanned millions of its users’ emails on behalf of the US government. 

The news agency Reuters reports it has sources who say Yahoo created special software to comply with a classified directive.
