US warplanes support operation to retake ISIS stronghold

The operation to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul from ISIS fighters is underway.

Backed by US air-power, thousand of Iraqi government troops and Kurdish forces are reported to be advancing into the eastern area of the extremist-stronghold.
