US hopeful for progress in talks on Syria

The U.S. is hopeful some progress has been made in talks in Geneva on how to bring peace to Syria.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the ceasefire for Aleppo to continue for an additional 24 hours. 

UN humanitarian chief Jan Egeland is hoping the injured can be evacuated.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry confirmed he spoke with his counterpart Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov about developments, especially at the Geneva talks.
