Hurricane Matthew Leaves US But Destruction Remains

Hurricane Matthew has now moved out to sea, but has left a trail of destruction and power outages across the US.

The storm had already ravaged southern Haiti with around 900 people now feared dead.

In the US, the death toll has climbed to at least 21 people [check latest figures], and rescuers are scrambling to save 1500 people stranded by floodwater in Lumberton, North Carolina, as our US correspondent Lorna Shaddick reports.
