HART AND HOLMSTROM WIN NOBEL ECONOMICS PRIZE

The Nobel Prize for economics has been awarded to UK-born Oliver Hart and Finland's Bengt Holmstrom for their work on contract theory.

The pair will share a prize of just under $1m (US).
