Earnings season in the US kicks into gear [preview]

Earnings season is kicking into gear in the United States this week and investors on Wall Street will be watching closely.

It’s a somewhat light week when it comes to economic data but an inflation reading out on Tuesday will be of particular interest to the US Federal Reserve.
