Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte said on Thursday his country could join naval exercises with Japan, and repeated that he wanted to end military excercises with the United States.
The comments come after months of anti-American rhetoric from Mr Duterte, and a day after he said he wanted all foreign troops out of the Philippines.
