BANKS COULD LEAVE UK OVER BREXIT

Several large banks are considering quitting the UK early in 2017 because of Brexit.

This according to the British Bankers' Association.

The BBA warns the financial industry is concerned the UK may exit the European Single Market as it leaves the EU.

And it says some small banks may even relocate from Britain before the end of this year.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says Brexit negotiations are being preceded by a series of threats and counter-threats.
