WFP faces $50M funding shortfall for Afghanistan food aid as crises abound

As a multitude of crises around the world drive up demand for emergency food aid, the World Food Programme is now faces a funding shortfall that is threatening its operations in Afghanistan. 


The organization needs $50 million dollars to feed some 1.6 million Afghans and is appealing to countries for more help.
