UN Syria Special Envoy Urges US and Russia to Agree on Ceasefire

INTRO:
The UN Special Envoy to Syria has said that talks between US and
Russian officials aimed at agreeing a ceasefire in the country are
likely to last into this weekend.

Staffan de Mistura said on Thursday that time was short and the
negotiations had already lasted too long.
