Protesters clash with police in Charlotte after shooting of black man

The US city of Charlotte, North Carolina has returned to calm today after twelve police officers were injured during protests over the police shooting of a black man.

Police cars were destroyed and one officer was hit in the face with a rock, according to officials.

Elsewhere, police in the city of Tulsa, in Oklahoma, said a black man they'd killed on Friday was unarmed.
