SABMiller shareholders vote through ABInBev takeover

SABMiller, the brewery which grew into a global giant from its foundations in South Africa over 130 years ago, has today been taken over in one of the largest deals in corporate history.

Shareholders in SABMiller, which grew out of Johannesburg's South African Breweries, voted in favor of the 100 billion dollar deal which will see the company taken over by the world's number one brewer, AB InBev.  

However the approval of the deal that sees the largest and second largest brewers become one company was far from a certainty as Dan Whitehead reports from London...
