Obama Defends Hillary At First Solo Campaign Event (WRAP)

US President Barack Obama has defended Hillary Clinton at a rally in Philadelphia, the first time he's appeared on his own to campaign for her.

He told a crowd of around 6000 people that his former Secretary of State was 'steady and true', and said her Republican rival Donald Trump was not a real champion of working people.
