Power blackouts are commonplace the world over, and whilst it not out of the ordinary for a town, a district or even a whole city to lose it's power supply due to bad weather, an entire state is a different matter.
But that's what happen to the state of South Australia on Wednesday night after 150 kmh (95 mph) winds belted the State, knocking 22 high tension electricity towers over.
