American warplanes have destroyed a complex of buildings in northern Iraq it says Islamic State was using to create chemical weapons.
Air Force Lieutenant General Jeffrey Harrigian told reporters at the Pentagon that the buildings near Mosul had been converted by Islamic State from civilian use, and might have been used to produce chlorine and mustard gas.
