Investigators Look Into Cause of New Jersey Train Crash

Investigators in the US are trying to work out why a commuter train crashed into a busy station just outside New York City on Thursday, killing one woman and injuring over a hundred people.

The station itself is closed as authorities assess the structural damage, but experts are already looking through video evidence.

The crash occurred in Hoboken, New Jersey, and the state's Senator Cory Booker says investigators are following usual procedures, but a safety system called Positive Train Control needs to be put in place urgently:

One woman, Fabiola Bittar de Kroon who was originally from Brazil, died in the accident. Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer said the young mum lived locally:
