FORMER UK PM CAMERON QUITS AS MP

Former UK Prime Minister David Cameron is stepping down as an MP.

It triggers a by-election in his seat of Witney in Oxfordshire.

Mr Cameron resigned as Prime Minister after Britain voted in June to leave the European Union.

And he says he doesn't want to be a distraction for new Conservative Party leader and Prime Minister Theresa May.
