Colombia: Government and the FARC sign peace deal

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and the FARC rebel leader known as Timochenko have signed a peace deal that will end the country's decades long civil war.

The treaty will require FARC rebels to give up their weapons and participate in a transitional process that aims at reintegrating them into Colombian society.
