US Justice Department Issues Scathing Report into Baltimore Police Racial Bias

The US Justice Department has concluded that police officers in the city of Baltimore have consistently applied racial bias. 

The findings are part a major report following the death of a young black man, Freddy Gray, in police custody last year.

The incident in which the 25 year old died from spinal cord injuries sustained while in the back of a police van catalyzed the "Black Lives Matter" movement nationwide.
