NZ Judge says legacy of failure for child sex abuse inquiry has been hard to shake


Dame Lowell Goddard, the New Zealand judge who was appointed to lead Britain's independent inquiry into historic child sex abuse allegations has resigned from the post, saying the inquiry's legacy of failure had been hard to shake off.

In a statement Justice Goddard said she was confident there had been achievements and real gains for child sex abuse victims.
