Lowell Goddard Steps Down From Child Sexual Abuse Inquiry

New Zealand High Court judge Dame Lowell Goddard has become the third person to quit as head of a UK independent inquiry into child sexual abuse.

Justice Goddard has not given a full explanation of why she decided to stand down, but her resignation comes after she faced criticism over her pay and the amount of time she has spent abroad since taking up the role.
