The former Portuguese Prime Minister, Antonio Guterres, has cemented
his lead in the race to succeed Ban Ki Moon and become the ninth UN
Secretary General. The Security Council has held its second secret
straw poll on the job, and it's widely reported that Mr. Guterres came
out on top.
