Congolese government will not renew visa for prominent human rights activist

The Democratic Republic of Congo has denied the visa renewal of human
rights activist, Ida Sawyer.

She has criticized the government of President Joseph Kabila, for
violently suppressing civilian protests and for seeking an
unconstitutional third term.
