The US has praised the work of South African investigators who appear to have foiled a plot to attack the US Embassy.
Twin brothers have been charged in Johannesburg with a terrorism scheme which also included an unidentified Jewish building.
Brandon-Lee Thulsie and Tony-Lee Thulsie who are 23 years old also attempted to fly to Syria to fight for the Islamic State organization.
The court appearance came after a ten month investigation by the country's Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation.
