Trump steps back from central NATO committment

Donald Trump says that, if elected president of the United States, he would set conditions for coming to the aid of NATO members in the event that they were attacked by Russia.

The comments are fueling concerns among America's allies in Europe about the implications of a Trump presidency for the alliance.

As Malcolm Brown reports, the Republican candidate set out his position in a newspaper interview.
