Al-Qaeda's leader has warned of the "gravest consequences" if Boston marathon bomber Dzhokar Tsarnaev - or any other Muslim prisoner - is executed.

Tsarnaev was sentenced to death last year for his part in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.
