US death rate increases for first time in decade

The US death rate is ticking upwards.

Even factoring in an aging population, a new study from top health officials shows an increase for the first time in a decade.

Deaths caused by high blood pressure and stoke rose, as did deaths related to firearms and drug overdoses.
