Special relationship endures - US on Brexit

American officials are trying to reassure everyone that nothing has changed in how the United States relates to the United Kingdom in the days following the so-called Brexit vote.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is holding meetings with his EU and UK counterparts, as EU leaders reject informal talks with the UK on how to start the process.

At the White House, Principal Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz repeated the same point many other U-S officials have made.

IN: "The president...
OUT: ...to endure."
