Jo Cox was elected to the British Parliament in the 2015 UK General Election.
At the time, she said her election meant she should take on her dream job of representing constituents at Westminster.
She made her maiden address to Parliament in June 2015 and spoke of her pride in the fact that she was born in the district she represented.
