Japan warns North Korean missiles pose “serious threat”

North Korea has launched two missiles towards Japan that are believed
to have reached high altitudes before plunging into the sea.

This could mark a technological advance for the nation's weapons
program and the United States has reaffirmed their commitment to
protecting its allies in the region.
