BORIS WON'T RUN FOR TORY LEADER

Former London Mayor Boris Johnson has announced he will not run to be leader of the UK Conservative Party and Prime Minister.

Mr Johnson had been a front-runner for the post, having been a prominent figure in the campaign for Britain to leave the European Union.

But he's decided not to run after a former ally - Justice Minister Michael Gove - announced he would withdraw his support for Boris and stand himself.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says it's a shock.
