Abortions on the rise in response to Zika concerns in Central and South America

INTRO:
A recent uptick in abortions in the Americas comes as a response to
the Zika outbreak, according to a report from the New England Journal
of Medicine.

The virus - spread by mosquitos - has been reported in 60 countries since 2015.
