Police in Florida now say 50 people were killed in a shooting attack on an Orlando nightclub that catered for the city's lesbian and gay community.
Another 53 people are suffering from gunshot wounds in hospital after an ordeal that lasted 3 hours and is being considered an act of terrorism with possible Islamic extremist roots.
