White House promises veto of terror lawsuit bill

The Obama administration is promising to veto legislation that would allow the survivors of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks to sue Saudi Arabia.

A bill has been passed by the U.S. Senate will allows such lawsuits to hold Saudi officials and charities liable for funding al Qaeda and other groups.

At the White House, spokesman Josh Earnest said they understand the motives for the bill, but it's still a bad idea.
