Intentional and direct attacks on hospitals are war crimes, according to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, as the Security Council on Tuesday adopted a resolution calling for an end to attacks on hospitals and medical workers.
The unanimous vote comes in the wake of a series of strikes against health facilities and personnel in conflict zones.
