Obama urges more action to safeguard global nuclear materials

US President Barack Obama is urging the world to do more to stop nuclear materials from falling into the hands of terrorists.


He told a nuclear summit in Washington that "madmen" could kill millions of people unless the world's stockpiles of plutonium and highly enriched uranium are held more securely.
