Italian economic development minister resigns over contracts scandal relating to her boyfriend

Italy's economic development minister has resigned after accusations she was pushing for an amendment to help her boyfriend win energy contracts worth millions of dollars.

The Italian opposition has also called Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to step down over the matter.
