World health emergency for zika virus

The rapid emergence of zika virus infections has put the disease in the same category as Ebola, a public health emergency of international concern, says the world health organization.

Brazil says, there have been at least 4,000 cases of zika infection since October and that number is expected to rise.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization Dr. Margaret Chan says they are particularly worried about the nerve and brain complications.
