UN Secretary-General brokers talks between Burundi rival factions

Burundi's government and opposition leaders could soon hold talks to resolve the country's 10-month long conflict.

The promise came following a visit by United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to the country, during which he held talks with rival factions and met with President Pierre Nkurunziza.

The president on Tuesday promised to free detainees, cancel arrest warrants, and hold talks to help return the country to peace..
