Pres Obama: 'constitutional duty' to nominate Supreme Court justice

President Obama says he will nominate a well qualified candidate in due time to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia.

Speaking in California Mr Obama encouraged republican lawmakers to consider whoever he puts forward for the role.
