UN commences intra-Syrian peace talks in Geneva

UN-brokered peace talks to resolve the conflict in Syria have begun in
Geneva after an initial delay earlier this week. The UN's special
envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, plans to meet with representatives
of all Syrian parties as they try to agree on a roadmap to democracy.
