CHINESE SHARES RISE AFTER CIRCUIT-BREAKER SUSPENDED

Chinese stocks have risen following a move by authorities to suspend a circuit-breaker which had failed to curb sharp falls in shares.

The Shanghai composite saw volatile trading but closed higher, a day after the circuit-breaker was dumped.

Global stock markets have been under pressure on concerns about China, and the state of its economy.

Richard Troue from stockbroker Hargreaves Lansdown says the circuit-breaker didn't succeed in easing sell-offs of Chinese shares.
