US Attorney General speaks on FIFA arrests

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has held a news conference addressing the latest arrests in the ongoing investigation into corruption at soccer's world governing body.

This comes after FIFA vice-presidents Alfredo Hawit and Juan Angel Napout were detained in dawn raids in Zurich.

The U.S. Attorney General had tough words for the new defendants, saying they hijacked the world's most popular sport for ill-gotten gains, and that she is determined to see justice served:

Lynch said the new charges announced today focus on corruption schemes involving soccer officials in Central and South America, and sports marketing companies in South America and the U.S.
