WADA CALLS FOR RUSSIAN ATHLETICS BAN

A World Anti-Doping Agency commission report is recommending the suspension of Russia from international athletics competition.

The independent WADA commission says it uncovered doping, cover-ups, and extortion in Russian athletics, often with state support.

And it claims the London 2012 Olympics were 'sabotaged' by Russian athletes who should have been banned for doping by the International Association of Athletics Federations, which also faces severe criticism in the report.

Richard Pound, chair of the commission, says the findings have been serious and widespread.
