UK SYRIA AIR STRIKES VOTE 'NOT ABANDONED'

Downing Street is denying reports UK Prime Minister David Cameron has decided not to hold a parliamentary vote on whether to extend air strikes against the Islamic State into Syria.

British media claims Mr Cameron has abandoned plans for a vote because he doubts he can win the support of MPs to widen the UK air campaign from Iraq.

Olly Barratt reports from London.
