Houston reject “bathroom bill”

After a bitter contest lasting over a year voters in the US city of
Houston Texas have rejected a proposal designed to secure greater
rights for transgender and gay people.

While the bill received high-profile support, many feared the
so-called "bathroom bill" would allow sexual predators into women's
bathrooms.
